Kraus-Anderson Insurance 5 Star Health Insurance Professional Award for 2011

Three members of the Kraus-Anderson Insurance Benefits team are recipients of the Five Star Health Insurance Professional Award for 2011. They are (pictured l. to r.) Producer Jim Klym, KA Insurance Benefits Director Kelly Brenna and Customer Service Manager Ginie Klopp. Brenna and Klopp also received the award in 2010.

Presented by Twin Cities Business magazine, the award recognizes health insurance professionals scoring highest in client satisfaction on the basis of service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, variety of options, and other criteria.

The Benefits department takes a proactive service approach combining timely information and advice tailored to address each client's specific needs.

"A well-crafted Benefits program can support a spectrum of employer priorities, including cost control, accountability, employee retention and competitive strategies," said Brenna.

Citing the statistic that a least 50 percent of health care consumption is behavior-based, the Benefits team targets the cost savings potential when the population of "the unhealthy well" is engaged. Trainings, screenings, wellness programs, education and incentives can all keep employees healthier; which in turn keeps health-related costs affordable over time. "In addition, these tailored programs boost employee morale and sense of purpose, making coming to work a positively healthy experience that drives business results!", Brenna said.
