Position: Loss Control Consultant (not currently hiring)
Description:
To conduct loss control inspections of industrial facilities, construction sites, and manufacturing plants, to evaluate risks and make recommendations for reducing risks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Visits facilities of clients and insurance prospects and prepares prompt reports of potential risks.
- Advises client and Account Executive on establishing effective loss control plans in order to reduce risks.
- Prepares and presents clear and concise oral training programs to clients on a variety of safety topics.
- Provides technical expertise and assistance to insured's, underwriting and claims personnel as well as the Account Executive regarding loss control issues.
- Continues professional training to improve knowledge and remain current with technological developments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in occupational safety and health, engineering, science, or business administration.
- At least 3 years of experience in loss control services with a proven record of good underwriting and loss control recommendations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, whether in a group or one-on-one setting with client employee’s.
- Good time management skills to prioritize duties and work independently.
- Certification (e.g., CSP, ASP, ALCM, or ARM) by at least one professional organization in the risk management field.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and daily use of a personal automobile.
